Edy Reja admits he “expected a bigger psychological push” from Lazio’s victory over Inter, as they seemed “worried.”

The Coach secured a 1-0 win on his debut on Monday, but this evening only scraped a disappointing 0-0 draw in Bologna.

“We are not sharp in physical terms and I expected a bigger psychological push after the Inter game. Instead I saw two rather worried teams.

“This is just not good enough. The problem is not the draw, as it is a valuable point, but the performance. This team can do so much more.

“We have found our balance in defence, but lack sharpness in midfield. Both these sides have problems and were probably affected by the poor results.”

Stefano Mauri will be available after February 3 because his nine-month Calcioscommesse ban was reduced to six on appeal, while Lazio are expected to move on the transfer market.

“Mauri is one of those players capable of attacking the space. He’s someone we need, but there are many games before he can return.

“We have options in defence, but as for the attack I will discuss it with the President. We’ll see if there’s the opportunity to bring in players who can really make the difference.”
