Atleti to go for Hernanes?

Despite Edy Reja’s insistence that Hernanes is not for sale, reports suggest that Atletico Madrid could move for the Lazio man.

The Brazilian playmaker has been heavily linked with a switch away from Stadio Olimpico during this transfer window, with Milan and Inter both said to be keen on his services.

However, Barcelona-based newspaper Mundo Deportivo claim that Diego Simeone’s men are the latest side tracking the trequartista.

With the Biancocelesti languishing in the middle of the Serie A table, a switch away from the capital looks like a possibility.

However, after Atleti signed Jose Sosa on loan from Metalist until the end of the season, it seems that a bid for Hernanes may have to wait until the summer, if at all.

The Vicente Calderon outfit are said to be willing to part with €15m for the Selecao international.
