Michael Essien’s agent has indicated that time is running out for Milan to pick up the midfielder, as they are yet to make contact.
The Ghana international has been strongly linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge this January after struggling for first-team football under Jose Mourinho.
Milan have been linked with a possible loan bid to the end of the season, but are viewed by Essien’s agent as having seemingly pulled away.
“The player will leave Chelsea and I have had a lot of contact from various clubs,” Fabian Piveteau has told Tuttomercatoweb this week.
“But Milan are not among them, not at least have I had direct contact with the Rossoneri.
“I will have some important meetings this week, then I will fly to London to assess with the club and the player the best solution.”
