On from confirming Luigi De Canio’s exit, Catania have made official the news that Rolando Maran has been re-hired as Coach.
News overnight emerged that the Elefanti had resolved to remove De Canio from the bench, after a disappointing 12 games in charge culminated in Coppa Italia elimination to Siena.
On from the wide belief also that Maran was to be reinstated in the position, Catania have released the following statement, confirming such a move.
“Catania announces that it has once again entrusted the task of technical management of the first team to Rolando Maran, previously at the helm of the Rossazzurri last season and during the first eight games of this season,” the club have posted on their official website.
“Back to being a part of the coaching staff are also Christian Maraner, as assistant Coach.
“Mr Maran will conduct training scheduled for today at 3pm [Italian time].”
