Lazio Primavera starlet Mamadou Tounkara has revealed that Coach Edy Reja will integrate him with the first team soon.
The Senegal-born striker is seen as one of the club’s brightest prospects, and the 17-year-old has admitted that the new boss wants him with the senior team soon.
“I spoke with Reja for the first time recently,” he told Lazio Style Radio. “The Coach seems like a good person.
“He asked me where I liked to play, and I told him that that depends on the game.
“But the Coach told me to choose my preferred role in the team and I said as the lead striker. He told me that he’d work with me on that.
“[Assistant Coach] Bollini has urged me to stay strong because my time may come soon.
“There are a lot of differences between the Primavera and the first team – in fact, everything is different.”
