Martin Montoya’s agent has once again reiterated his client’s preference to stay at Barcelona beyond his current deal.
The Blaugrana defender has failed to pen an extension with the Camp Nou outfit despite his contract expiring in June 2014.
However, with Roma and Liverpool both reportedly interested, the 22-year-old’s agent has insisted that the full-back hopes to stay in the Catalan capital.
“I’ve heard talk about Roma but I don’t think that’s a likely solution,” Josep Orobitg told calciomercato.
“No negotiation is easy, so we’ll have to see what happens.
“But I think his future will be at Barcelona.”
