Napoli are seen to be close to announcing Jorginho’s capture, as their sporting director flies out to London for Etienne Capoue.
The Vesuviani have been in talks this week with Jorginho’s representatives and with Verona and are today seen as increasingly close to announcing the 22-year-old’s capture.
It is believed that the deal was provisionally closed out yesterday evening and the player could travel down to Napoli for medical tests later today.
Reports are that an initial co-ownership agreement has been reached, at a cost of €5m, with Napoli then committing to buying the midfielder’s remaining 50 per cent registration in the summer for another €5m.
It is understood that Jorginho will pull in €800,000 as an annual salary, on a four-and-a-half-year contract.
Meanwhile, Sky Sport Italia suggest that on from meeting with Jorginho’s representatives yesterday in Milan, sporting director Riccardo Bigon has today headed out to London.
Bigon is believed set for a series of meetings in the English capital, including opening negotiations for Tottenham midfielder Etienne Capoue.
Bigon is being quoted by Le 10 Sport today as officially ending Napoli’s pursuit for Lyon midfielder Maxime Gonalans.
