Morata: Happy at Madrid

Alvaro Morata has looked to end speculation linking him with a move away from Real Madrid: “Despite everything that is being said, I’m happy here.”

The Under-21 international has been increasingly paired with a move away from the Santiago Bernabeu, with potential loan and permanent bids speculated in recent weeks as on their way from Arsenal, Tottenham, Juventus and Inter.

However, on from scoring in Madrid’s weekend win at Real Betis, the striker has affirmed where he sees his future.

“Despite everything that is being said, I'm happy here. I want to stay,” Morata has told reporters over the weekend.

“I have spoken with the Coach and the club, and I talk every day with my teammates. If I have to help by playing a few minutes here and there, I’ll do it, but it’s even better if I get a few more.

“There are a lot of things being said, but I want to stay here and keep working hard and improving. I have been at this club for my whole life and it is the best in the world.

“The best are here and I want to help when I am needed.”
