Fiorentina and Monaco are interested in signing Milan centre-back Philippe Mexes, it has been revealed.
The France international has come in for some criticism at San Siro this term, and has played just 10 games for the Rossoneri in the League.
It has been claimed by Sport Mediaset that the defender will be surplus to requirements under new boss Clarence Seedorf, and as such, the Viola and the Ligue 1 team are rumoured to be circling.
Vincenzo Montella’s men have already been in negotiations with the Rossoneri this window, bringing in striker Alessandro Matri.
That could bode well for a potential transfer, but it is suggested that the player may prefer a switch back to his home country.
