Fiorentina boss Vincenzo Montella has targeted Manchester United’s Nemanja Vidic as his number one objective this month.
The defender’s agent revealed earlier this month that the player was unlikely to sign a new deal with the Old Trafford outfit, with his current contract set to expire in the summer.
And as such, the Viola Coach has indicated that he wants to sign the Serbian centre-back during this transfer window.
The Premier League champions are seemingly unwilling to sell in January, and may be willing to let Vidic leave for free at the end of the season.
In that case, the Tuscan side’s need for a new centre-back could see them bid for Villarreal’s Mateo Musacchio or Everton’s Johnny Heitinga.
