Recent days has seen interest from Marcello Lippi’s Chinese outfit emerge, with reports of a transfer fee set between €8m and €10m believed enough to turn Bologna’s head.

Reports in the Press suggest a transfer is increasingly likely, with Diamanti seen by Il Resto del Carlino as having agreed terms on a four-year contract worth €20m.

Talks are believed also to have progressed on the transfer fee, with it understood that Bologna will receive around €6.3m immediately, with a further €3m in a second, future instalment.

The Gazzetta dello Sport suggest it is a matter of timing now, with the Chinese League not starting until March and Bologna eager to use the playmaker at least this weekend away at Sampdoria.
