While initial reports suggested Michael Essien failed a Milan medical, it’s now claimed he passed supplementary tests.
According to La Repubblica, the Ghana international failed tests related to an old anterior cruciate ligament injury.
Essien arrived in Milan on Friday evening and had his medical on Saturday morning, but so far has still not signed the contract.
After a couple of hours, new reports from Sky Sport Italia and the Corriere dello Sport maintained the Chelsea midfielder passed the second round of stress tests at the Milanello training ground.
He is expected to put pen to paper on Monday.
