Napoli have reportedly agreed terms to sign Brazilian defender Henrique from Palmeiras for €6m.

The negotiations have been on and off for several days, but according to Fox Sports Brasil the move is finally ready for completion.

Several different sources over the past hour suggested Henrique accepted the transfer and will fly in for a medical over the next couple of days.

“I can absolutely make clear that none of our players are untouchable and anyone can be on the market,” said Palmeiras President Paulo Nobre in a Press conference today.

“I will not discuss negotiations already in progress or what could happen in future.”

It is reported Napoli are prepared to pay the €6m release clause for the 27-year-old centre-back, having previously proposed only a six-month loan.

Today Coach Rafa Benitez reiterated he had “spoken with the President and I am convinced that we’ll make some moves. We’re working on a few things.”
