Milan see Fulham’s Adel Taarabt as an alternative to Jonathan Biabiany of Parma, while Lazio request Gabriel.

The Rossoneri are in the thick of the transfer window action as we approach deadline day.

This afternoon several different stories have emerged and they may well be interlinked.

Sport Mediaset claims a deal has been done with Fulham to exchange Taarabt for centre-back Cristian Zaccardo, both moving on six-month loans.

This also involves QPR, as Taarabt is already on loan from them to the Cottagers.

However, Sky Sport Italia claim that Taarabt is only a secondary option compared to Milan’s first choice, Parma winger Biabiany.

He is in advanced negotiations with Marcello Lippi’s Chinese club Guangzhou Evergrande, but would prefer to remain in Serie A and play in the Champions League.

Biabiany would suit Clarence Seedorf’s 4-2-3-1 system and Parma would be willing to part with him in exchange for Zaccardo and creative midfielder Riccardo Saponara.

Milan are also in talks with Lazio, who have requested the loan of young Brazilian goalkeeper Gabriel.
