According to Sky Sport Italia, the deal is worth €1.5m plus co-ownership of youth team players Matteo Colombi and Marco Benassi.

However, Italy Under-21 international midfielder Benassi will remain on loan at Livorno until the end of the season.

D’Ambrosio was on the market after refusing to sign a contract extension, as he would be a free agent in July.

Although there were also heavy links with Milan, Inter have always been the favourites to sign D’Ambrosio.

The 25-year-old can play as a left-back or a wing-back and scored two goals in 14 Serie A appearances this season.
