Cagliari have officially signed Matias Vecino on loan from Fiorentina with option to buy.
The Sardinians released a statement this evening confirming the deal to take the 22-year-old Uruguayan for the next six months.
They have an option to make the move permanent at the end of the season for an undisclosed fee.
The attacking midfielder at Fiorentina from Nacional Montevideo in January 2013, but struggled to break into the first team with seven appearances for a grand total 158 minutes of football.
In a curious twist, Vecino could well make his debut against his former teammates, as Cagliari host Fiorentina this weekend in Serie A.
