Ignazio Abate has outlined his desire to see out his career with Milan, stating that if he had to leave, he’d prefer to go abroad.
The full-back has seen speculation over his future in recent months, with talk of a move to Juventus more than once suggested.
However, he has made clear his intention is to remain with the Rossoneri and to renew his contract.
“My priority is to stay at Milan, I grew up here,” Abate has told Sky Sport 24 this week.
“I will talk with the club and we will see what is planned, then we will consider the money. I still have a year-and-a-half on my contract.
“I’m not a guy who swears eternal love, but my dream would be to end my career here. If I am hard-pressed to go away, I would prefer to go abroad, but in football you never know.”
