Hernanes has explained further that his motivations to move from Lazio to Inter are not based on ‘money or fame’.
The Brazilian posted on his official Facebook page a note this morning explaining his reasoning behind considering a move to the Nerazzurri, which looks increasingly close to completion.
On from this, the 28-year-old has further clarified his current mindset and thanked the Aquile for the three-and-a-half years together.
“I am a little emotional, yesterday was not an easy day. I did not sleep at all last night. The fans have loved me beyond belief,” began a still emotional Hernanes on Lazio Style Radio today.
“Those on Facebook were my true words. Since I was a child I have wanted to do something special. When I came here, I wanted to win the Scudetto with Lazio, I have given everything to achieve this goal even though it was not easy.
“The Coppa Italia was really special, I realise that perhaps that was the ultimate goal I could achieve. My choice has nothing to do with money or fame, as a I child I always had the ball at my feet. I want to do something important, this is the reasoning for my choice.
“I take this opportunity to thank [the President, Claudio Lotito], with me he has always been fair, and the club itself, where I have always been good.
“I thank the Coach, my teammates, I have made many friends. Thank you to the fans, I will always carry them in my heart.
“I have received more than 2,000 messages, I have responded to only a few, I knew that they loved me, but I did not think this far. I have no words to describe how I feel.”
