Hernanes celebrated his transfer from Lazio to San Siro. “Inter won it all and I hope to get them back on that level.”
The Brazilian midfielder completed the move on transfer deadline day for a reported €17m and, despite bursting into tears when leaving Lazio’s training ground for the last time on Thursday, he insisted it was his choice.
“I am very happy to be here and to be part of an important club like Inter,” wrote Hernanes on Facebook.
“I am very happy, I repeat, and hope for the best for all of us in this new adventure. It is a challenge I am ready to face.
“The dream is to do well: Inter have already won it all and I hope to take this team back to that level.”
However, it’s reported he won’t be in the squad for tomorrow night’s Serie A clash with Juventus because the paperwork has not come through yet.
Fellow new signing Danilo D’Ambrosio will be available after his move from Torino.
