Colantuono: 'Atalanta can hurt Napoli'

Stefano Colantuono acknowledges “Napoli are superior, but Atalanta can play for a result” in Bergamo.

“Napoli are superior, but Atalanta can play for a result with humility,” said the Coach in his Press conference.

“Whether or not Rafa Benitez rotates the team is irrelevant, as they have such strength in depth. It’s true recently Napoli haven’t looked particularly sharp, but they have players who can change the game in five minutes.

These teams clashed on January 15 in the Coppa Italia with Napoli squeezing a 3-1 victory amid controversy.

Atalanta were further enraged last week after a 1-0 defeat to Torino was decided by a shocking penalty.

“Mistakes can be made, as long as they are acknowledged. We’ve got 24 points in the table and are in a good position, but there’s still half a season left to play and anything can happen.”

Luca Cigarini won’t be able to face his former club, as he is in bed with flu symptoms, while Carlos Carmona and Davide Brivio are suspended.

Lionel Scaloni and Gianpaolo Bellini are on the treatment table, but ex-Chievo winger Marcelo Estigarribia could make his Atalanta debut after arriving on loan.

Atalanta squad for Napoli: Baselli, Benalouane, Bonaventura, Brienza, Cazzola, Consigli, De Luca, Del Grosso, Denis, Estigarribia, Frezzolini, Giorgi, Kone, Lucchini, Migliaccio, Moralez, Nica, Raimondi, Sportiello, Stendardo, Yepes
