‘Would be great to beat Juve’

Vangelis Moras has mused on Verona’s continued form and admitted that ‘it would be wonderful’ to beat Juventus in Week 23.

The Gialloblu returned to winning ways in Week 22 with a 2-1 success at Sassuolo, to move back up to fifth in the table, ahead of a home test next weekend against leaders Juve.

“We are calm, the ultimate goal is near and we must now aim to manage our games well, as we did against Sassuolo,” Moras has considered this week on TeleNuovo.

“[Coach Andrea] Mandorlini always wants to win from the first minute, it is us in the field that do what he asks. We try to always work hard and take the opportunities that come to us.

“What’s our secret this season? To win it takes a little luck and skill to make the most of the two or three useful chances that can present themselves to you.

“It is clear that we would like to beat a team like Juventus, we will try, it would be wonderful.”
