Ciro Immobile has reflected on Torino’s ‘lesson learned’ against Bologna and determined that he is only thinking about Toro’s next games.

The striker netted his 12th League goal of the season for the Granata, but saw his side fall to a 2-1 defeat at home to Bologna on Sunday.

“My goal contributed very little, we did not pick up the points for the table,” Immobile has considered afterwards.

“I have tried, as did the whole team, certainly though we were not ourselves, but we all tried hard.

“My goal contributed very little, we did not pick up the points for the table,” Immobile has considered afterwards.

“I have tried, as did the whole team, certainly though we were not ourselves, but we all tried hard.

“It was not the usual Toro, with character, enterprise, fighting for every ball, we were beaten by those with more hunger than us.

“Where we cocky? I do not think so, the team knows that it must always fight, but it is possible that we go into one game a little more switched off.

“Now we are waiting for Verona and then the derby, we have learned our lesson and now we want to redeem ourselves.”

Immobile’s form has seen speculation over his future beyond this season, but he remains focused only on the short-term.

“Well, there’s no choice, I want a goal at the Bentegodi and another at the [Juventus] Stadium.

“And from July I will work to do well. With the help of my teammates I am finding myself in Serie A, but I do not have any personal goals.

“I’ve scored as many as Gonzalo Higuain? I do not look at the scoring chart, I am happier when the team wins.

“I’m happy for [President Urbano Cairo’s] praise. It means that I am proving my worth and that he wants to keep me.

“It will mean that they have to pay more, I am sorry, but if they want me…”
