The club was excluded from Lega Pro – the third division in Italian football – on January 29 following a farcical derby game with Salernitana” data-scaytid=”5″>Salernitana.

The players were threatened by their own supporters before the November 21 match and did not want to play at all.

Eventually they opted to start, but made three substitutions within the opening minute and another five players went off with injuries until the referee had to suspend play at the 21st minute.

Nocerina had lodged an appeal, but it was rejected today by the FIGC Federal Court.

Several players and directors were banned for sporting fraud for terms running between 15 months to three years and six months.
