Cagliari sporting director Nicola Salerno has insisted that the ‘uproar is over’ after Ivo Pulga was sacked on Tuesday.
Coach Diego Lopez was expected to get the chop at the start of the week, but President Massmio Cellino unexpectedly gave his assistant marching orders.
The board member though, claims that the Isolani can now get back to footballing matters.
“We have been assured that the uproar is over,” he told Gazzetta dello Sport. “We just have to focus on the pitch now.
“The League does not allow you to take your foot off the gas in times of trouble.
“Pulga? He’s a worth person and a great technical Coach. The President however, wanted to send a signal to the group.”
