Thibaut Courtois and Diego Godin are in agreement that Atletico Madrid’s Champions League tie with Milan is far from over.

Atleti take back to the Vicente Calderon a 1-0 advantage from the first leg of this Last 16 clash, thanks to Diego Costa’s header in the second half at San Siro on Wednesday evening.

Whilst handing them an advantage and the away goal, two of their number are clear that the contest is far from decided.

“We have to be careful and play like we did here,” goalkeeper Courtois told UEFA’s official website post-match.

“We cannot say the tie is finished because it will be another hard game – they will come to Madrid trying to push hard to score a goal.

“We have to try to keep another clean sheet in order to qualify for the quarter-finals.”

For centre-back Godin it is a similar message: “Is it over now? Not at all. We really respect our opponents and there is still the return leg to play, so it's not over at all.

“Yes, we have an advantage because we have home advantage now but the tie is still open and we will have to work hard to reach the quarter-finals.”
