Diego Lopez’s position as Cagliari Coach is apparently still up in the air, with games against Inter and Udinese seen as decisive.
Strong rumours at the start of the week were that the Uruguayan would be sacked by President Massimo Cellino, for a recent downturn in results, which includes five defeats from the last six rounds of Serie A.
Despite a turnaround that saw Lopez remain in his position and assistant Ivo Pulga instead removed, speculation is that the Uruguayan’s future is still not guaranteed beyond the next two weeks.
Reports in Italy are that the Isolani’s games this weekend with Inter and next weekend against Udinese will be decisive in determining Lopez’s position.
