Joseph Minala bagged a brace as Lazio beat Fiorentina 3-1 in the first leg of the Coppa Italia Primavera youth tournament.
Minala hit the headlines all over the world this month when questions were raised over his real age, which he and Lazio insist is 17.
Despite the controversy, he is focused on his football and scored twice in today’s 3-1 victory over the Fiorentina youth team.
The Viola had taken the lead through Gondo, but Minala netted twice in the second half and Elez converted a penalty.
The second leg in Florence is on April 9, but this could be Lazio’s first Coppa Italia Primavera since 1979.
