Edy Reja believes Lazio “understand the strengths and weaknesses” of Europa League opponents Ludogorets now.

The Biancocelesti surprisingly lost the first leg 1-0 at home and will need a victory in Bulgaria to continue in the competition. It kicks off on Thursday at 18.00 GMT.

“We know how good our opponents are, so it will take the best Lazio to get through. We need to pick up the pace, above all,” said the Coach in his Press conference.

“The basic principle remains the same, which is to impose our style on the match. We must be able to remove the initiative from Ludogorets, as their possession is very important to them.

“It would be important for us to go through, though of course we hope their goalkeeper is not in the same great shape he was a week ago.

“Now we know the Ludogorets characteristics better than we did before the first leg. We understand their strengths and weaknesses. They work very well on the flanks and always maintain their balance.”

Reja gave some hints as to his starting XI tomorrow evening, which could see the return of Federico Marchetti in goal.

“Marchetti is feeling better and is available. If he tells me that he feels up to it, then he will play. Stefan Radu is doing better than Abdoulay Konko, though I believe that I can count on both. I am leaning towards Brayan Perea from the start with Miroslav Klose coming on later, but it’s not certain.”
