Roma forward Gervinho has thanked Giallorossi Coach Rudi Garcia for helping him rediscover his form since moving to Italy.
The Ivorian struggled for long spells during his stint at previous club Arsenal but is now an important part of Garcia’s plans at the Stadio Olimpico.
“I moved to Italy and here I found Rudi Garcia, which was a good thing,” Gervinho said to La Voix de l’Amerique.
“Our relationship got off to a good start and it has continued like that.
“My success is linked to my Coach.
“I already knew him and he has stuck by his way of playing.”
The 26-year-old was then asked about Roma’s hopes for the rest of the season.
“We are having a good season,” he commented. “Anything is possible as the season is long.
“There are still two months to go but we want to put pressure on Juventus.
“What matters is that we keep hold of second place and qualify for the Champions League.”
