Inter have appointed new Chief Financial Officer Michael Williamson, who already works for Erick Thohir at D.C. United.

This is the latest step in a restructuring of the club hierarchy after director Marco Branca terminated his contract by mutual consent.

“I am very excited to bring a sports finance expert of Michael's background to Inter,” said President Thohir, who is also the majority owner of D.C. United.

“His work ethic and integrity are second to none, and he understands both the objectives we are seeking and the process to achieve those results.”

Williamson will make the move from the MLS club to Inter over the next few weeks.

“It is truly an honor to join the F.C. Internazionale Milano family. I look forward to working with the entire management team as we affirm Inter's position as one of the world's top ten clubs.”

Williamson has been at D.C. United for seven years as Chief Financial Officer and then Chief Operating Officer.
