“Am I ready to face Mario Balotelli? Of course, I’m ready for him and all of Milan, as it will be a difficult game all over the pitch,” the defender told Sky Sport Italia.
“Milan are a fearsome prospect on their own turf. We will both want to win the game, but we must focus only on ourselves.”
Juventus are fresh from a 2-0 victory away to Trabzonspor on Thursday, which set up an intriguing Europa League Round of 16 clash with Fiorentina.
“Those two legs will certainly be fascinating. It’s just a shame to be meeting another Italian team at this stage, as I’d have preferred both of us to progress a bit further,” continued Barzagli.
“The cities and the fans care a great deal about this match. We know each other well and will do our best to win. Naturally, I hope we can go through.”
