Tommaso Ghirardi has made clear that Parma are eyeing European qualification this season, as he remarks on the ‘pride’ felt.
The Ducali currently sit a point and a place behind Inter in the fifth and final Europa League position.
However, with a game in hand and with sixth also likely to be enough to qualify thanks to Napoli and Fiorentina making the Coppa Italia Final, Parma’s President isn’t afraid to dream.
“We are playing for Europe because we are sixth in the standings with a game in hand,” began Ghirardi after yesterday’s 1-0 win at Sassuolo.
“Only those who do not want to tell the truth are saying the opposite. As long as we continue to play with this determination and quality can we dream.
“We are sixth in the table with a game in hand and this is a matter of great pride for us when we look at who we are up against.
“They are the great powers of Italian football and beyond, we are only very relaxed and calm.”
