Inter are reportedly ‘gathering information’ on Arsenal’s Lukas Podolski with the view to a move at the end of the season.

The attacking midfielder has been linked with a move away from the Gunners come the summer and the Nerazzurri are today listed by the Gazzetta dello Sport as one interested party.

Specifically, sporting director Piero Ausilio has apparently used last week’s trip out to London – where talks for Nemanja Vidic were reportedly tied up and similar negotiations with future Bosmans Patrice Evra and Bacary Sagna begun – to pick up further information on Podolski.

Whilst the 28-year-old has a contract with Arsenal to run until June 2016, the Gazzetta dello Sport echo British media sentiment that he is keen for a change in environment come the summer.

However, Inter reportedly face two major obstacles to any proposed move for Podolski, being his current salary and the belief that he is looking for Champions League football next season.
