Roma have appointed Chief Commercial Officer Sean Barror today, a new position at the club.

This move follows hot on the heels of Inter bringing in Michael Williamson as their Chief Financial Officer.

Roma made the announcement this evening, noting Barror “will be responsible for the club’s commercial operations, including business development, sales, sponsorship, ticketing, merchandise, licensing and driving new revenue. Barror will report directly to Chief Executive Officer Italo Zanzi.”

He was at Raptor Sports Properties, who already took care of Roma’s commercial operations, and before that worked at Madison Square Garden and the Boston Celtics.

“We’ve always made clear our objective is to make AS Roma one of the world’s greatest football clubs.  By bringing Sean Barror aboard, we are taking a significant step toward achieving that goal. I trust AS Roma fans around the world will join me in welcoming Sean to our team,” said President James Pallotta.

Barror also commented as part of the statement released by the Giallorossi.

“With the time I have committed to Roma while at Raptor Sports Properties, I have come to respect and understand the great expectations that come at Roma.

“As a top club in Serie A, Roma has a tremendous opportunity to be among the top clubs in the world as well as one of the top global brands.”
