Inter President Erick Thohir says long-term planning will be at the forefront of his thinking when deciding which Nerazzurri players will earn new contracts.
Esteban Cambiasso’s deal at San Siro expires at the end of the season but the Indonesian businessman said any renewal would be done in the summer.
“It’s important to monitor Cambiasso’s performance,” Thorhir told FcInterNews.it
“He is playing well and he did yesterday too.
“At the end of the season we will evaluate everything, both the young players and the more experienced ones.
“We want to build a strong squad for the future with a view not just to next season but to the next three.”
The businessman then commented on Javier Hernandez, who has recently been linked with a move to San Siro.
“I think he is a good player,” he said. “But we haven’t spoken to either him or Fernando Torres.”
