Napoli Coach Rafa Benitez is fully confident that Marek Hamsik will soon rediscover his best form.
The Slovakian international’s form of late has come under scrutiny, with the player himself last night expressing frustration at his recent perfromances.
“He was out for two months,” Benitez said to Radio 24. “It’s not easy for anyone to get back to their usual level straight away.
“If the team is suffering in general in any particular match it is even more difficult for him.
“I have belief in his quality and he will do well.”
The former Inter boss was then questioned about the future of Pepe Reina.
“Pepe has experience and personality,” he commented.
“I remember when he was 17 years old, he already seemed like a veteran!
“I took him to Liverpool he did extremely well there.
“Everyone here recognises his level both on and off the pitch.”
The Spanish tactician then reflected on his team’s chances of turning around their Europa League tie with Porto.
“We have a difficult task, they are a strong team who can hurt you.
“But we can do that too and I believe we can make it through.”
