Mati Fernandez suffered ankle ligament damage, but Fiorentina teammate Giuseppe Rossi’s recovery is ahead of schedule.
Chilean Mati Fernandez limped off during Thursday’s 1-1 Europa League draw with Juventus after spraining his ankle.
The club released a statement confirming he has sprained his right ankle with a partial lesion of the deltoid ligament and infraction of the heel.
The player has to rest completely for 10 days and then perform new tests.
Meanwhile, Rossi visited Professor Steadman for a check-up on his knee ligament injury, which was “positive.”
He was given the all-clear to begin the next phase of his recovery, meaning the Italy striker is ahead of schedule.
Rossi has been out of action since early January and was expected to make his comeback in May.
