West Ham midfielder Antonio Nocerino gave his verdict on English football, why he left Milan and dreams of the World Cup.
The 28-year-old joined the Hammers in the January transfer window on loan until the end of the season, so far notching up four Premier League substitute appearances.
“I left Milan because I needed to play more regularly,” he told Sky Sport Italia.
“Now my objective is to play as many games as possible so that I can continue my dream of going to the World Cup.
“What is the difference between Italian football and English? Here it’s different, as if you don’t go full throttle then your opponents eat you up.
“In Italy there is more focus on tactics, whereas here your physical strength and fitness levels are more important.
“When off the field, nobody cares what you do.”
