Eugenio Corini praised Chievo for their performance at Fiorentina and says the regret in defeat will spur them on to face Roma next week.
The Flying Donkeys fell to a 3-1 loss to La Viola on Sunday evening, in a game that their Coach believed they could have taken something from.
“The regret is great, because the team worked really well, always looking to equalise and creating many scoring opportunities,” Corini has considered in post-match reflection.
“We were close to a draw, the guys definitely deserived a different result. I was pleased with the attitude, which I think will lead us to achieve our goal.
“This game does not change much in the struggle for survival, the regrets should only affect the performance, to give us strength for the next match against Roma.”
Chievo host the second placed Giallorossi next Saturday evening.
