Former Inter President Massimo Moratti believes Coach Walter Mazzarri is the right man for the Nerazzurri and is starting to show it.
The 68-year-old is also impressed by the way in which the current incumbent of his former post, Indonesian businessman Erick Thohir, has adapted to life at San Siro.
“I am pleased, it seems to me that the team has improved and that the Coach is showing his quality,” Moratti is quoted as saying by FcInterNews.it.
“It pleases me because he was really chosen because of the security he brings and that is coming.
“He is transmitting that to the players and now it seems to me that the players are what we thought they were initially.
“They are all players of a good level who can achieve good and important things.
“If they had started showing it a bit sooner, maybe they could have even reached the Champions League.
“Thohir is doing very well, I say that sincerely.
“I’m seeing him closer and closer to the problems that the team has had.
“He is more and more emotionally involved but also more and more authoritative when making decisions.
“It is very pleasing because I think he has adapted to life at Inter, which certainly isn’t very easy.”
