Giuseppe Rossi has revealed his great respect for Italy boss Cesare Prandelli, and how he’s been killing time whilst injured.
The Fiorentina forward has been out since January with a cruciate ligament injury, and the Azzurri striker has exposed what has got him through another stint on the sidelines.
“Whenever you’re injured, physiotherapy alone isn’t enough,” he told Vanity Fair.
“You also need people who make you feel loved – so I’m proud to say that I’m a mummy’s boy!
“I have a great respect for Prandelli. After my injury he called me the next day to ask me how I was.”
Rossi concluded by commenting on some of the game’s more spoilt players.
“Success is not an excuse for you to do whatever you want.”
