Palermo’s Abel Hernandez says he would take Antonio Cassano to the World Cup and play him alongside Mario Balotelli.
Cassano has been in excellent form for Parma this season and this has led for calls for him to be recalled by Cesare Prandelli, who has hinted that he may do so.
“If I were Prandelli I would definitely take Mario Balotelli, I think he is the best player in Italy at the moment,” Hernandez said to Sky Sport 24.
“He is a different class. He is having a bad period at the moment but you can’t not take a player of his type.
“Cassano? I would take him too. I would get them to play together because together they could be an extraordinary pair.
“They would strike fear into other teams.”
