Arrigo Sacchi says he hopes Lorenzo Insigne makes the World Cup, even if he acknowledges the Napoli man can improve.
The forward has come under scrutiny for his inconsistent form this term, but remains in contention for a spot in Cesare Prandelli’s 23-man squad to head out to Brazil this summer.
“My hope is that he will go,” former CT Sacchi has reflected today to Il Mattino.
“He is doing well, but could do even better if he can realise his potential.
“I think that right now it is mostly a matter of the feet, with the second step he does not seem as fast as with the first.
“The brilliance is not the same compared to his better days.”
