Lazio’s Miroslav Klose says last season’s Coppa Italia final win over Roma was an incredible experience, owing to the happiness it caused.

The German international also has no plans to immediately retire and says the major remaining target in his career is to win the World Cup this summer.

“Anyone who plays football wants to win the World Cup with their national team at any cost,” Klose told Sportschau.de.

“I still haven’t managed it and for this reason it is one of my great objectives.

“It is normal to receive hugs and kisses in the street from fans. Football really is a core aspect of life here.

“After the Coppa Italia derby win it was incredible to see all the happiness around.

“A few days later a postman who came to my door got down on his knees to kiss my feet!

“Retirement? I still feel good, it’s not time yet.”
