According to reports, the Azzurri Coach will also be at the Stadio Olimpico this evening for Roma’s game with Torino.
It’s safe to say he’s keeping a close eye on two contenders for the World Cup party: Torino striker Immobile and Roma forward Destro.
Immobile already hit the headlines on Saturday when scoring his first ever Serie A hat-trick, as Toro beat Livorno 3-1.
That treble put him joint top of the Capocannoniere charts with Juventus star Carlos Tevez on 16 goals.
Torino teammate Alessio Cerci is practically assured of a spot in Brazil already.
One of Immobile’s main contenders for a place in the World Cup squad is Roma hitman Destro, who is also set to be in action tonight.
He was out injured for almost nine months, but has scored eight goals in 14 Serie A games this season.
Both players were with the Italy side that finished second in the European Under-21 Championships last summer.
