Mauro Baldissoni commented on Miralem Pjanic’s contract and plans for a new stadium, which are “very important for the history of Roma.”
The director spoke to Sky Sport Italia ahead of tonight’s Serie A game against Torino at the Stadio Olimpico.
“The President has to focus on the project for the new stadium, an initiative he has been working on for two years.
“Tomorrow’s presentation will be the first step and a very important moment for the history of Roma. The name of the stadium has its own economic value, so we hope to name it after a sponsor.”
Pjanic is sought-after by PSG, Manchester City, Chelsea and Manchester United among others, but the Giallorossi are eager to keep hold of him.
“Pjanic is a Roma player at least until 2015. We are working on the renewal and sooner or later will finish off the negotiations.”
