Cagliari’s Stadio Sant’Elia is finally set to be expanded to 16,000 capacity before April 6.
The arena has been limited to just 5,000 fans per match due to restructuring work and safety concerns.
The club repeatedly urged for other sections to be opened up, but so far there have been delays in getting approval from the local authorities.
It’s reported a new meeting this morning largely reached an agreement on expanding the capacity to 16,000.
The approval should be given before the Serie A game against Roma on April 6.
