“We made many changes, as there are several players out injured. We have to keep working, because we have to do better.

“Marek Hamsik is an important player for us who worked well in possession tonight. He also helps out the defence.”

Henrique has played in midfield, centre-back and today full-back, where he even managed to score a sensational goal.

“He can play more or less anywhere and is tactically astute. He has the experience to control his performance in different roles.”

“Our objective continues to be targeting Roma in second,” insisted Benitez.

“We have to do our work, continue winning and see where we end up. After the Juve game this weekend we’ll have only one match per week and it’ll be easier for us.

“Carlos Tevez will be suspended? All their other forwards are of the highest level.”
