Genoa striker Alberto Gilardino has been diagnosed with a fractured bone in his hand.
The centre-forward was on target in last night’s 2-0 victory over Lazio, but could not finish the match.
Tests today showed the reason for his pain was a fractured third metacarpal in his hand.
It is not clear whether he’ll be able to play with a protective cast this weekend, when Genoa visit Hellas Verona.
Gilardino has scored 13 Serie A goals this season and 172 in his top flight career.
