Juan Jesus returns from a three-match ban in Inter-Udinese, but insists “it felt like being out for a year.”
The defender is in the starting XI for this evening’s game at San Siro, which kicks off at 19.45 GMT.
“How much did it weigh on me from 1 to 100? 1,000!” the Brazilian told Sky Sport Italia after he was caught on camera striking Roma full-back Alessio Romagnoli in the ribs.
“I had been playing consistently, so it felt like being out for a year. Now I have to focus on doing well and the important thing is to win tonight, especially as Fiorentina lost.”
A victory would put the Nerazzurri within a point of fourth-placed Fiorentina, but they are fresh from a 2-1 home defeat to Atalanta.
“Sunday’s loss was a heavy blow, because we tried to win right to the final minute.”
